About Us

The Association of Private Airport Operators (APAO) is a non-profit, independent industry organisation registered under the Societies Act, 1860, with an objective of promoting and diffusing knowledge of operation and maintenance of major private airports to enhance their contribution in the Aviation Sector and in the Indian economy.

As an apex industry body, APAO interacts with all stakeholders including the Ministry of Civil Aviation on policy issues relating to Civil Aviation in general and Airport sector in particular. APAO also closely interacts with various other Ministries /Government Bodies, similar Industry Associations and contributes in all discussions decisions pertaining to development of the Civil Aviation Sector of the country. APAO is also closely associated with the evolving Regulatory process initiated by the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).
